Traditional Wellpoint systems

Wellpoint uses an active system for the extraction of groundwater to reduce and temporarily control the level of the water during excavation work. The wellpoint system essentially consists of a set of micro-wells measuring 1 "1/4 in diameter and of a length suited to specific needs, connected to a self-priming centrifugal pump by means of various manifolds, flanges and couplings.

STANDARD WELLPOINT SYSTEMS
In situations where there is predominantly sand, wellpoints are created exclusively with the aid of a Jettin self-priming centrifugal pump that uses flexible hoses to send water under pressure directly to the wellpoint.

WELLPOINT SYSTEMS WITH PREFILTERS
In the case of fine-grained soil or layers of low permeability, we first create a ∅ 20 cm vertical sand drain (prefilter) in which the wellpoint can be placed.

STEPPED WELLPOINT SYSTEMS
In order to reduce the level of groundwater level by more than 6 m, we lay several concentric rings of Wellpoints, using a "stepped" installation method.
