Bentonite membranes and polyethylene diaphragms

IMPERMEABLE MEMBRANES IN GRANULAR BENTONITE
The B500 and B600 pipe layers equipped with a special accessory can excavate and, at the same time, fill a hole with granular bentonite creating a uniform waterproof membrane.
This particular technique is used to isolate landfills or polluted areas and to reinforce embankments.

POLYETHYLENE DIAPHRAGMS
A quick and cost-effective system devised by Wellpoint to create uniform waterproof barriers underground.
The B500 or B600 pipe layers can also be used for excavation in phreatic zones, with the vertical laying of a uniform polyethylene sheet between 0.2 to 0.5 mm in thickness at a depth of up to -5 linear metres. They can also partially recover the excavated area with the material removed.
